About Hidden Heritage Education

The mission of Hidden Heritage Education LLC is to provide educational programs designed to provide insight and content specifically focused on historical facts, sites and events previously unknown or excluded from the mainstream of historical instruction. HHE’s programs will consist of but not be limited to teacher education programs, historical tours, forums, media production, publishing and site support and preservation.

Hidden Heritage Education continues the type of Teacher Field Study Programs formerly conducted by Pepper Bird Education Inc. of Williamsburg VA. in partnership with Norfolk State University. The courses are designed to provide undergraduate and graduate credit hours depending on the course.

The impact on American history by many cultures including Americans of African Heritage, in truth, is one of the most unexplored segments of study.

The Hidden Heritage Teacher Field Study Programs are “Train the Trainer“ experiences designed to expose educators to historical content, sites and people of these cultures and the critical contributions made to the nation’s development. Additional courses will be developed to expand the study of hidden history and ways to apply them in the classroom.
